Frank R. Willis

Frank Rees Willis, known to family and friends as 'Dick' was born in 1921 to George and Ethel May Willis (née Savill).

George and Ethel were married in 1903.

They had eight children:
Lily Bessie and Grace Edith twins born in 1906
Dorothy born in 1912
Jack born in 1914
Ivy born in 1916
William born in 1918
Frank and Jessie twins born in 1921

He served as a Private Soldier with the 4th Battalion the King's Own Scottish Borderers.

He married Daphne Verna Smith at the end of 1944.

He died aged 23 on 10th March 1945, and is buried at the Reichswald Forest War Cemetery.

After the was his widow, Daphne, lived in Wickham Bishops, Essex after the war. She re-married in 1947 to Ronald M. Luck and had two sons.

In 1946 George and Ethel Willis are listed on the electoral register as living at Newhouse Farm, Causeway End, Felsted.
